PASSIONATE COOK AND FOUNDER FROM BRESCIA, ITALY

Pronto by Giovi is a culinary venture founded by Giovanna Boventi, affectionately known as Giovi, in Queenstown, New Zealand. With a passion for great food and a deep-rooted connection to their Italian heritage, Giovanna’s family invites guests to embark on a mouthwatering journey through the flavours of Italy at their cosy laneway shop on Searle Lane. From handcrafted focaccia sandwiches to indulgent lasagne and decadent desserts, every bite at Pronto by Giovi celebrates Italian culture, hospitality, and the joy of good food.

OUR FOOD PHILOSOPHY

ALWAYS FRESH

Our pasta and focaccia bread are made fresh daily with high-grade flour, free-range eggs and extra virgin olive oil. We slow-cook our Angus beef sauce to make a rich lasagne sauce. We have combined our sandwich fillings for maximum flavour and complexity to deliver a delicious, flavour packed experience.

IN SEASON

Sourcing the best ingredients takes time and dedication. This is something Giovi and her team take very seriously and handle with passion. Combined with premium imported products from Italy.

AUTHENTIC ITALIAN

Giovanna has a true passion for authentic Italian cuisine, made with only the best ingredients and of course, love! Growing up in the food and hospitality industry, many of her close family members own and operate successful food and wine businesses throughout Italy. We also serve fine Italian wine directly from her family vineyard La Montina.
